Iran’s popular filmmaker Tahmineh Milani, who mainly focuses on women-related issues, has decided to produce a satirical film about conjugal life under the ironical title of ‘Ceasefire’.Milani sought to take a deeper look at family life in light of the well-known critical approach she displayed in her earlier films to scrutinize Iranian lifestyle.

An Iranian director to stage war drama at Dutch festival
An Iranian director has been invited to a Dutch theater festival to stage “The Body of a Woman as a Battlefield in the Bosnian War”. ”The festival, which is to focus on plays on the theme of war, will be held from September 22 to 25 in the Netherlands, and all expenses are being covered by the festival organizers,” director Maryam Shirazi told the Mehr News Agency.
